Speaking Homework: You can do that? Posted on 5 February 2013 by Tara Arntsen For a long time, I simply didn’t give homework to oral English classes because most traditional homework assignments focus on reading and writing and I want my students to develop their speaking and listening skills more than anything else.
The Tudors were a Welsh-English family that ruled England and Wales from 1485 to 1603 - one of the most exciting periods of British history. How long did the Tudors rule? They ruled for 118 years and during their reign encouraged new religious ideas, overseas exploration and colonisation.
The role of homework is hardly mentioned in the majority of general ELT texts or training courses, suggesting that there is little question as to its value even if the resulting workload is time-consuming. However, there is clearly room for discussion of homework policies and practices particularly now that technology has made so many more.

Topic Homework Throughout the year, the children in Sycamore class will be set engaging homework with the expectation it is completed on time. Please find below the current homework as well as access to all homework sheets for easy access.
Firstly, you could create a slide show of pictures based on a theme you are covering in class and ask students to leave comments on one or more of the slides for homework. Initially, you might allow students to leave either written or spoken comments but, assuming students have access to the necessary equipment, you might move towards only spoken comments.
